The Veterans Breakfast Group of Lancaster, South Carolina ("we," "us," or "our") is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Veterans Breakfast Group of Lancaster SC. We host a free community breakfast for veterans every Wednesday at 8:00 AM in Lancaster and support other veterans events in our community.

This policy explains what information we collect through our website, veteransbreakfastgroupoflancastersc.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

· Contact form. When you use the "Contact Us" form, we collect your name, your email address (required), how you heard about us, any message you write (for example, how you'd like to get involved), and any files you attach.

· "Stay in Touch" email signup. When you sign up for reminders, we collect your email address.

Information collected automatically

· Cookies and similar technologies. Our website shows a cookie notice. The site uses cookies to keep it working, to analyze website traffic, and to improve your experience. The specific analytics and cookie tools in use are Google Analytics

· Technical information. Like most websites, our site and its hosting provider may automatically receive basic information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.

· reCAPTCHA.Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps block spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (policies.google.com/terms).

We use the information we collect to:

· reply to your messages and questions;

· connect you with volunteer, sponsorship, or other opportunities you ask about;

· send breakfast and event reminders if you signed up for them;

· understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it; and

· protect our website from spam, fraud, and misuse.

Contact form submissions are delivered to the group's email account email box, where our volunteers read and answer them.

We gratefully accept sponsorships and donations. The "Become a sponsor" button on our website takes you to our Facebook page, which is managed by volunteers of our group. Sponsorships may also be arranged through a third-party sponsorship contact Collins Realty Inc, a local business that accepts sponsorship funds on our behalf.

We do not process payments on this website. If you sponsor or donate through Facebook or through our sponsorship contact, the information you provide is handled by that party under its own privacy practices. We keep only the records we need to acknowledge your support and keep our books record-keeping practices we follow standard non-profit record keeping.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share information only as needed to run our website and our group, including with:

· Service providers that host or support our website and communications, such as GoDaddy (website hosting and tools), Google (email and reCAPTCHA), YouTube (embedded videos), and our email reminder service Email reminder services GoDaddy email marketing;

· Our volunteers, only as needed to respond to you or organize events; and

· Authorities, if required by law or to protect the safety of our members, volunteers, or the public.

Whether "Stay in Touch" signup information is shared with anyone other than our email service provider is no.

Our website embeds videos from our YouTube channel @LancasterSCVetsBreakfastGroup. When you watch an embedded video, YouTube may collect information about you under Google's privacy policy.

We also link to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, and YouTube, and to other websites, such as the separate site for The Wall That Heals in Lancaster (thewallthathealslancastersc2026.org). We don't control these sites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Photos and videos of members, guests, and events may appear on our website, blog, YouTube channel, and social media pages. If you appear in a photo or video and would like it removed, please contact us (see "Contact Us" below), and we will make reasonable efforts to remove it from the places we control. If you'd prefer not to be photographed at an event, please let one of our volunteers know We ask before photographing at all events.

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, but no website or email system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required for nonprofit record-keeping specific retention periods vary by record type.

· Unsubscribe.You can stop receiving our email reminders at any time by contacting us or by using the unsubscribe link in a reminder email, if one is included.

· Cookies.You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings.

· Access, correction, or deletion. You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it by contacting us. We will do our best to honor your request, unless we need to keep certain records for legal or accounting reasons.
